What to expect
Western Australia's streets make up the largest share of public space in our cities and towns, yet they remain the built environment asset most often defined by a single purpose: moving vehicles.
The RAC Street Remix Guide is a practical step-by-step guide designed to help government officers, practitioners and community members reimagine streets as safer, healthier and more people-friendly spaces. As the Guide was launched in May 2026, many have yet to have the opportunity to consider how to integrate it into their planning, design and construction workflows.
This session introduces the RAC Street Remix Guide and builds participants’ confidence to apply it in real-world contexts. The first half explores the Guide’s purpose, key principles, navigation, and practical examples of successful street interventions. The second half is an interactive workshop where attendees analyse a street of their choice, working individually or in small groups with facilitator guidance and peer feedback.
Participants will leave with a practical understanding of the Guide, a sample street analysis relevant to their work, and take-home resources to support implementation. Ideal for professionals in transport planning, design, and operations involved in shaping street and road environments.
Registrations close Tuesday 28 July 2026.
