What to expect
This event will explore problems and solutions in transport planning and traffic management in outer suburbs and growth areas. Dan Riley, Manager Development Engineering at Liverpool City Council in Sydney will present on his particular challenges, including the new Western Sydney International Airport, before we open to broader discussion.
Dan will take us through some of the key issues that growth areas in the Liverpool LGA are experiencing. He will touch on the lived experiences of residents and stakeholders in relation to fragmented land development, the importance of transport infrastructure/service provision to schools, and narrow streets vs large cars. He is also keen to hear ideas from the Local Government Network – particularly opportunities to tackle these challenges.
After Dan’s presentation and Q&A, there will be an opportunity for broader discussion of transport challenges and solutions in growth areas and outer suburbs.
This session will not be recorded – be there or miss out!
Registrations close Monday 22 July 2026.
