What to expect

Our cities are becoming busier, more complex and interwoven, putting pressure on public transport infrastructure and pedestrian systems. At the same time, the cost to deliver new or improved infrastructure is continually escalating, making it more difficult for governments and providers to prioritise PT expansion and improvement. In this context, effective planning and design of pedestrian-centric infrastructure and networks is crucial for all forms of the built environment.

Pedestrian Planning and Modelling are effective tools within the planning and design process to help define the scale and extents of infrastructure projects are right-sized, and to ensure equitable mobility for all that is inherently intuitive, comfortable and safe.

This webinar introduces the fundamentals of Pedestrian Planning and Modelling whilst touching on key city-shaping projects across the ANZ region covering:

  • Data collection
  •  Performance metrics
  • Modelling methods
  • Quality assurance processes
  • Advanced workflows for rapid scenario testing
  • Pedestrian modelling within different delivery frameworks

Participants will leave the CPD course with a better understanding of how pedestrian planning and modelling works, and how it supports sustainable mobility.

Registrations close 1 June 2026.
