What to expect

Flexible working is no longer a perk. It’s reshaping how we work, travel, and plan our cities. But is it really delivering on its promise?

Join this thought‑provoking webinar as we explore flexible working as a benefit, a burden, or a delicate balancing act. Drawing on real‑world professional experiences in the workplace and a transport planning lens of impacts to future networks, this session goes beyond buzzwords to unpack what flexible working actually means in practice — for employees, managers, organisations, and the transport system.

We’ll look at how flexible working has evolved, what’s working well (and what isn’t), and the unintended consequences that are emerging — from fairness and productivity in the workplace to changing travel behaviour and equity of access. Expect interactive discussion, and honest debate about where responsibility really sits.

Whether you’re navigating flexible work in your own role, managing teams, or planning for future transport demand, this webinar will leave you with fresh insights, questions to take back to your organisation, and a clearer understanding of how flexible working is shaping the future of our profession.

Registrations open Thursday 16 April 2026.
